Q: What does the name Geranium Leaf Essentials mean?
A. My brother asked me this question. It has no particular meaning, but its purpose is to
evoke a feeling of nature and natural products and that our products are made with the
most essential elements.
Q: Are your products guaranteed?
A. Absolutely. If you are not 100% satisfied with an item you have purchased, return it
within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
Q: I have viewed the ingredients on your products with my purchase and some have listed
ingredients like methylparaben or titanium dioxide (which was in one of the scented soaps).
Why are they in there?
A. Certain products require preservatives (such as lotions). Other, like the soy soap you
speak of, are kept from discoloring with titanium dioxide. However, many products---such
as the lip balms and butters, lotion bars, whipped body creams and hand-milled soaps---are
made in smaller batches, using no preservatives or only vitamin E as a preservative. The
Certified Organic soap bars use only rosemary extract as a preservative. Certain products,
such as the massage oils, will keep longer if refrigerated. If you have a question about a
particular product you have purchased, feel free to e-mail me.
Q: I am a retailer with a small gift shop. Do you sell your products wholesale?
A. Yes. Please call or e-mail me to discuss the particulars.
Q. I would like to place my order and send you a check, rather than do business on-line.
Is there a way to do this?
A. Certainly. Click at the end of this paragraph for a printable HTML version of our
catalog and order form. Once you have filled out your order form, simply mail it in with
the check for the proper amount.
Q: A friend of mine said that you offer home demonstration parties. Is this true?
A. Locally (in the Lehigh, Bucks, Montgomery County Pennsylvania areas) I do home
demonstration parties. Contact me if you are interested in hosting one. Eventually, I
would like to develop a plan to allow these parties to be handled by others in different
areas. Check back in the future if you live beyond the local area to see if the opportunity
to be a representative is available.
Q: If I place an order and want part of it to be shipped to a friend as a gift, can you do
that?
A. I can do that. You will need to specify which products and the name and address for
shipping in an e-mail to me, as the shopping cart is not set up to split an order.
Q: Do you ship outside of the United States?
A. Currently, no. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Q. Will it really take two weeks before my item is shipped?
A. No. Kindly note that the order form says please allow UP to two weeks for delivery of
your item. This is because some of the products (as noted above) are only made in limited
batches and may be out of stock until ordered. Most items will go out in the mail within a
couple of days of receipt of your order here at Geranium Leaf Essentials.
Q: Are your seasonal items available all year long?
A. The candles are. The soaps are only available during the holiday season.
Q: What precautions can I take to assure I am not allergic to one of your products?
A. I haven't had anyone with problems, yet, but there is always a first, especially with the
use of certain fragrances. Test by placing a small amount of product on the sensitive skin
beneath your upper arm, wait twenty-four to forty-eight hours and check for reaction.
Q. Do any of your lip products or lotions contain a sunblock?
A. Shea butter is a natural sunblock. However, I am checking into adding a food-grade
paba for additional protection and hope to have that option in the future.
Q: Do you have a retail store where I can come to shop?
A. Not at the moment. I do make appearance at certain local craft shows and plan to add
a page to this site to list those. However, certain of my products are for sale at Out of Our
Hands, in Emmaus PA.
Q: What does that symbol mean on the About Our Company page?
A. It means I am a member of the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild, an international trade
association promoting the manufacture and use of handcrafted soaps.
